Eligibility

  • Individuals aged 18 years and above

  • Non-Individuals – (Clubs, Societies or Associations)

  • Limited company registered in Tanzania

  • Minimum deposit of  TZS 50,000 or USD 50 or EUR  50 to open the account

  • Sole Proprietorship and Partnership

  • Personal Account – Residents or Non-Residents with work permit

  • Personal or Joint Account

Requirements for opening account

Sole Proprietorship and Partnership

  • Certified copy of Business  Registration Certificate

  • Certified copy of Partnership Deed, if any

  • Certified copy of extracts from registrar of companies

  • Certified copy of Business License

  • A valid identity card – National ID or Passport or Driving License or Voters Registration Card of proprietors / partners

  • Two passport size photos of each signatory

 

Limited Company

  • Business License certificate

  • VAT and TIN certificate

  • Latest annual return filled at BRELA

  • Certificate of extract from registrar of companies

  • Memorandum & Articles of Association

  • Board of Directors Resolution

  • Two passport size photos of each of the signatories

 

Individual

  • Two passport size photos of each account holder

  • A valid identity card – National ID or Passport or Driving License or Voters Registration Card

  • Letter from the employer for the opening of the account (employed applicants)

  • Introduction letter from local government or utility bills for water, electricity or telephone having the applicant’s name and address

  • Work permit for non-citizens
