Eligibility

  • Individuals aged 18 years and above

  • Trustee – custodians/ guardians of  minors (children of 12 to 17 years of age)

  • Non-Individuals – (Clubs, Societies or Associations)

  • Residents or Non-Residents with work permit

  • Personal or Joint Account

  • Minimum deposit of TZS 200,000 or USD 500 or GBP 500 to open the fixed deposit

Requirements for opening account

  • Two passport size photos of each account holder

  • A valid identity card – National ID or Passport or Driving License or Voters Registration Card

  • Letter from the employer for the opening of the account  (employed applicants)

  • Introduction letter from local government or utility bills for water, electricity or telephone having the applicant’s name and address

  • Work permit for non-citizens
